Nice guy but he was lowly educated farmer from a rural area and now being a handy-man is his hobby. I'm a doctor from the city (suburbs, really). So he thinks I'm this soft dude who doesn't know what he's doing when it comes to fixing things around the house, except that I've been helping my own dad do this kind of stuff since I was little, so I know how to get shit done.

He has good ideas but if I ever suggest a better idea, he'll get butthurt and try to tell me how I'm wasting my energy and his idea is simpler, even though his methods tend to be more brute force with less optimal results. Or he'll do things like, if we're building something out of the box with instructions, he'll intentionally get rid of the instructions and end up taking twice as long making the thing.
