Friday, 2 children were gunned down outside the school. 15 & 14 yo. 2 others were wounded.

The news coverage sucks. Makes it sound like the leader represents the school.

Nah, but most of us live in the USA where kids getting shot at school isn't shocking anymore. This is just today's version or the same story that plays out over and over and over.

I'm only half joking.

I get the not being shocked.

I am posting because some students are trying to get CPD back inside the school when

1 the community worked so hard to eject them

2 the shooting was outside the school

3 feeling safe or feeling unsafe is not the first thing that you should be measuring.

I am more concerned by what "local" hospital the boys were taken to when Stroger, gun shot mecca, is 2.1 miles & 11 minutes away.

This neighborhood and its schools have so much culture. Do not be played by fear.
