C.

I can do personal assignments and tests fine, I know the material, stop trying to make we work with people. School doesn't officially teach social skills so there's no reason to expect me to be able to pull group projects off.

Definitely wish I could've attended during the covid era where group stuff was discouraged.

There's always the one dude that becomes group leader, but he fucking sucks at it and always comes up with the most moronic ideas.

That dude is usually me

PE and arts & crafts ruined school for me.

I especially hated the latter when it was used in middle and high school.

I never did any group projects. Once my social disorders developed, teachers had to give me individual assignments.

I hated having to do the entire effing project myself or with the one other person who actually cared enough to meet up to do stuff together for the project. Ugh.

Even better was when we'd exchange emails in college and they'd never reply and I'd tell the professor and they'd still get credit. -_- And then a year or two later one of them sent me emails for one of those pyramid schemes that housewives fall for. "Be your own boss omg!"

Fucking hated group projects, although I wouldnt say they killed school for me. I hated high school, but loved college. Group projects sucked in both settings, though.

I had a class during my senior year of college, where a group project was essentially our final, where wed research the material, write an essay on it, then present it to the class as part of a 30 minute presentation. Group of 5. Myself and 2 others were straight A student types. The other 2 guys were not. We decided to split the assignment into 5 parts, with each person tackling different sections of the material. We had like a month to work on it. During the last week, the 2 less dependable guys just decided to no show, leaving the missing 40% to the 3 of us. Fucking stupidity that we were held accountable for that.

Kind of a D?

I was a crazy anxious kid growing up, and stuff like group projects really helped me kind of slowly work through my biggest issues, especially when it was like a "do this in front of the class" kind of thing.

I'm still not like, great at public speaking or anything, but I can talk to a group of people by myself without really any issue now. And I'm fully aware that a lot of throwing me into a group and having us all present or whatever was a big thing in helping that.

Actually doing group projects though was lame. You have no control over someone who is really obviously half assing it and sometimes you need to really go overboard in order to try to compensate for it.

I hardly had any group projects as a CS major, until the major project at the end.

I took a college course called "Organization and Leadership skills" Basically teaches you how to deal with people in the work/school place. It was basically "group work the class". Out of 25 students you had to work together with every single one by a weekly basis.

Half way into the semester, the professor began grouping people based on certain personally traits from a quiz he gave at the start of the semester. One group would have people who wouldn't get along have an easy assignment and a different group would have people who get along together have something more difficult. It was an interesting course and got me to learn about all sorts of personality traits on a hands-on approach. Helps that everyone are adults and aren't quick to judge people based on appearances.

I think I had one or two group assignments in community college.

I had ZERO group work in my universiry philosophy program. The closest thing to group work was tutorial discussion.

My grad program had a lot of group work... But it was all kind of easy...

If I had to ever participate in any group assignments that required portions from each person to be turned in, I don't necessarily remember it. I remember working in groups, but still having to turn in individual things...

But it's also been a hot minute since I was in any form of schooling.

I usually ended up doing solo projects anyway. If I had to be in a group, I'd just pick whoever had space. Those are the people who won't expect much because they don't know what they're doing. Can't even assemble a group of 4 smh useless
