Serebii
Oh yeah. I forgot that Serebii.net goes as far back as 1999. I remember discovering the site and feeling like I stumbled upon a goldmine of Pokemon information.

But the site also had a shitton of server issues and was constantly down, at one point going down for months (to the point where I assumed that it died like most of the other Pokemon fansites from around that time). But they finally resolved those issues in 2003 and it's been consistently online since.

Joe used to be the best source of Pokemon information back in the day

Nowadays, Bulbapedia has a better layout for information and various leakers tend to beat him to breaking news, so I don't really have a reason to go there anymore

Serebii's layout really sucks, somehow both on mobile AND desktop, and the information is either sparse or flat out wrong for a lot of the games. I'm playing through Platinum now and I've come across several errors on encounter locations

But back in the early 00s, it was all we had. No reason to not use bulbapedia now though. I do appreciate Serebii tweeting out all the current mystery gift events and stuff though. Not sure where else one would even go to find those
