It's on sale on Steam right now. Big fan of SRPGs, but I've heard some negatives about the length of cutscenes and things like that.

The first two chapters are very heavy on cutscenes, but after that it's fine with two or three semi-long sections throughout the rest of the game.

Hell yeah. It can be a bit imposing with the amount of story to combat, especially early on, but I found that I really liked the story and the weight it places on the choices you make in it. And the battles are very good. Fun game, one of my favorites from 2022.

I liked it but the high level gameplay could be balanced a lot better and that's most of the game, especially because you're clearly expected to do multiple ng+ playthroughs.

I absolutely loved it.

The plot was slightly slow at times, especially early on with the massive influx of info about random political alignments and whatnot, but it kept me interested pretty consistently once it got going.

But the game is a blast to play if you're a SRPG fan. Every character feels super distinct and fun to use. I did two runs in a row and was still having an absolute blast by the end of it.

The biggest flaw that I'd have with it is that the English voice acting is pretty bad, but that's not that big of a deal.

Honestly, that's by far my biggest issue. Expecting you to do multiple NG+ cycles to unlock the full combat for your characters, but NG+ is laughably easy it's just no joy to play.
