I have listened to this advice and have elected to ignore it.

I will continue to buy more games, redeem free games and continue to not play my backlog over the game I've played twenty times already.

And I'm still gonna complain about having too many games to play.

Backlogs don't bother me anymore. I've learned to simply ignore all the extra games I have. And ply the ones I simply enjoy. Sadly there are two games I want next year. Amnesia and Judas. Amnesia is coming to gamepass though.

I only build a backlog of digital stuff when its on sale, and I usually dont let them sit too long. It just happens sometimes where they release stuff you know you want to play and you buy it on a discount because it wont be discounted when you want to play it.

Actually, really, the best option (best of both worlds) is just to "acquire" any new games you want to play. Saves you money AND you still "get" to play all the new trash. Win/win (?)
