What if they had Joker vanish for a long time. Meanwhile a new character shows up. Barbara has a new college teacher that she forms a bond with. They become friends. He's like a mentor to her. He's a recurring side character in her life for years. We still don't see Joker

Then one day we find out that Joker got cured somehow and created a new identity after his sanity returned. Barbara's teacher. This would be set in the same continuity as Killing Joke and New 52. Meaning in this universe, Joker did paralyze Barbara and then she recovered later. So they have that history together

Joker remembers everything. Barbara eventually finds out who her teacher is and I think it woukd be interesting if she accepts his new identity and forgives him

It's a spoiler to say this, but something like this happens in the Harley Quinn show. Joker is turned into a normal guy after falling into a vat of acid.

Yea. I actually still haven't gotten around to watching that show. But I did hear about that. I should watch it soon.

I would want to see one where hes still the Joker, but sort of mellows out after he falls in love with a middle aged single mother. He would take pride in and work hard at being a great stepfather to her two children, and even runs for mayor to try to improve Gotham.
