I don't get how theres this jump between saying unregulated weed distribution can be ok since theres been rare incidents of the product being laced, to somehow mean they want eveything under the sun unregulated and the fda should be abolished. seems like a weird jump in logic but ok

Nobody is saying they dont want it regulated, that would be ideal. People are saying having been unregulated for years weed distribution hasnt had this super dangerous affect you're portraying it as

I wonder how much my dad has. He grows his own and harvests once a year, so he tries to get an entire year's supply every fall. Gotta be near 2 pounds if not more. And I know his broke ass ain't selling it cause he never got money for anything.

For all you know your local unregulated grower is using a pesticide that is cheap but cancerous. Or they don't store their product safely before giving it to dealers, leading to contamination by pests or mold. Etc, etc.

Dudes not wrong. I don't wanna smoke stuff that's grown with toxic chemicals or whatever. There's no way to tell how the stuff was grown, so you're at the mercy of the dealer to be honest. And I really would rather only smoke organic. Both reasons why I don't like buying from randoms. I've also heard of dudes trying to sell moldy product, and mold isn't always visible.

But really just grown your own. It's cheaper and you know exactly what went into it.

As far as I'm aware, being medicinal grower, for instance, is heavily regulated. In my state, there is a very laborsome process to get licensed and they need to be inspected regularly. There are specific guidelines to how they are allowed to grow, what kinds of pesticides they can use, etc. And their product is routinely sent for lab testing.

My state just legalized recreational, and I assume that it will work the same exact way.

It is, but California has managed to fuck that up so badly that a lot of legal growers are selling under the table. And because California manages to royally fuck up legal weed, it's the only way a lot of them stay afloat.

Sorry, I was busy. You guys were right. He was planning to start selling. He's in County and he has a meeting with the judge, His family hired a lawyer who deals with this sort of stuff. According to the Lawyer since this is a first offense it's likely not going to be jail. A felony is another thing. He'll fight for it to be expunged.

I guess you can never really know someone. I surely must have known. Surely. What man needs 2LBs of pot for casual use? C'mon...how can I be so blind?

I feel like rather you think 2 lbs is a lot or not, it's pretty well known to all smokers and dealers not to get caught with that much on you. It's hard to deny knowing the risk. His life is ruined for sure. He was smoking in his backyard while grilling. Police came and drew guns on him. Arrested him and raided the house. They're accusing him of being a drug trafficker. He had around 2lbs of it he shared with his friends and himself. God bless our boys in blue. have nothing better to do then arrest someone for it.

Never understood the appeal of weed at all, outside of strictly medical reasons I guess. It smells really gross and it's not pleasant to deal with people who are blazed. Then again I hate alcohol more, for tasting awful imo and making people act terrible and like the worst versions of themselves. Not to mention the liver damage and other such things that can come from it. At least weed doesn't cause nearly as much driving deaths. But overall I'd much rather be substance free and in control of my faculties.

I don't think people should be jailed at all just for having some though, and despite my disdain for the stuff I feel that it shouldn't be so criminalized. Now if someone wants to sell it unregulated, then yeah that's irresponsible and that person deserves some repercussions for sure, because it's still a drug and should be treated as such and with proper care. Even if instances of it causing damage are on the rare side. Ideally there should be like a license for responsible sellers. I don't think anyone would call it unreasonable for wanting to make sure drugs are handled properly. Imagine if alcohol or even over the counter drugs like ibuprofen had 0 regulation.

I dunno what state but in florida, two people were just stopped with 3 lbs I believe they fly in and they got house arrest and probation

I've been smoking weed legally even in public for so long now that I often forget it's illegal in other places. I still can't believe some people actually think it's a hardcore drug that even needs regulation.

Never touched weed in my life. Have no need.

Stay off of it. All it does it numb you, it doesn't solve any of your problems.
