I went to a wedding in New Orleans once. I knew it was going to end in less than a year and it did so I just said my present was my presence and that shut em right the fuck up. Depends. How much of a hassle is it for everyone else to get to the wedding? Is anyone else benefitting somehow from being there besides being present with the couple? (E.g., time at the beach, mountains, a resort). I don't mind giving a gift in the latter case, but if the destination is just for them and I had to put myself at a major financial disadvantage to attend, I'd give them a card with some uncle advice and call it good. --- For the stronger we our houses do build, The less chance we have of being killed. ...
