At this point I don't know I have the Galaxy buds plus and while they're not true noise canceling they're still pretty good

I love my Galaxy Buds Live.

Got them two years ago. Wear them every day for about 7 hours, have never died on me.

Consumers are not going to try all the earbuds, this really is where Google is your friend. Below is one article, read a few articles like this, and make a choice based on those.

I also have the Galaxy Buds Live. I think they are great for what they are and sound pretty good. There's a Samsung specific codec that it uses if paired to other Samsung devices. All my products are Samsung, so this codec not only sounds good but the Buds switch seamlessly from my phone, to my tablet, etc. Very Apple-like.

If you're willing to break out of the Samsung ecosystem, the Sennheiser CX Plus True Wireless is a very good set

I had a set of the galaxy pro IIs that were pretty good, but there's no way any pair of earbuds are going to hold up for more than a year or so if you listen to podcasts at work in one ear for 8-12 hours a day.

The thing I find funny about every pair of earbuds I've ever owned is how unevenly they degrade over time. I mean it's hard to Guage the case battery over time, but it always seems no matter what brand I've had between Samsung, sennheiser, or skullcandies (all skullcandies kinda suck, but on a budget they'll buy you time) one earbud suddenly decides 8-12 hours is a bridge too far around 9-12 in and cuts down to like 4 hours at best and the other just gives up entirely at like 20-30 minutes at best just to make sure the other one can't charge properly at work unless it's overnight.

Last pair of wired sennheiser I had lasted me close to a decade until they got crushed in my bag.

I love earbuds, hate wires... But I've never had a pair of wireless earbuds that lasted more than a year or so and absolutely none of them died from crushing/bad wiring/broken jacks.

It's a trade off, but you can get a decent pair of wired headphones or buds or neck hangers for $20ish that last until you screw up and actually break them whether by action or circumstance. My own experience with wireless earbuds is they just kill themselves arbitrarily at random.

That's pretty much my use case with the Galaxy Buds+ that I got 18 months ago, and I haven't noticed any decrease in performance, battery life, etc.

Then I applaud you man, every pair of wireless buds I've tried for the past 5 years has gotten consistently wildly inconsistent in 9-12 months from budget to 200ish pairs.

And there hasn't been a huge gap in longevity between the budget bracket and the high end bracket as far as battery life goes. There's a huge argument for the difference in sound quality and equalizing, but the battery life in my own experience has been the same across quite a few price tiers.

I have all of them except the Buds2 Pro. I got all of them for around $50-$60 between 2021 and 2022. I had the originals and Buds+ as well prior. One I got free with the S10 and another I bought for $130.

They're all very good, but they seem to have some inherent issue where one of the buds dies. It's definitely become better now, but the originals were horrible with that.

Overall, I enjoy the Live the best. The open design just feels really nice and it doesn't cause pressure issues.

My favorite is the Buds Pro though because of the 3D sound, but I try not to use them because Samsung fucked up. The metal they used in this and the Buds2 causes people allergies and ear infections. There is a class action being planned for that.

If they come out with a Live 2, I might upgrade to that.

I paid full MSRP for my OG ones which I don't mind because they've been worth it. One popular criticism is how its active noise cancelation feature is blunted due to the open design of the Buds. I say the ANC works as intended - it does a good job in blocking off low frequency sound and keeps the high frequency ones. Personally, listening to music or podcasts doesn't necessarily mean I want to be sealed off from the world.
