Anybody check this out yet? Just finished watching it, thought it was excellent, charming all the way through. Not my favorite Del Toro flick but that's hardly a sleight. Is it on Netflix yet? I saw it was available to see on the big screen at the farther of my local theaters, but too many scheduling conflicts arose and I couldn't justify the trip. Then it was gone. It was absolutely beautiful. I got gut-punched and misty-eyed in the first ten minutes alone, and I felt emotional here and there throughout. I loved the atmosphere, the setting was very unique (a ballsy choice to set it during this time I must say and it pays off in a spectacular way), and the animation was breathtakingly gorgeous. I really thought it was high grade CGI because it seemed way too fluid to be stop motion. It's unbelievable. I was going to watch it anyway, but thank you for reminding me of when it was out on streaming. I don't think I can praise it anymore without blatant spoilers, but definitely go check it out if you're on the fence or you're tired of the same old Pinocchio retellings. --- :> I'll never stop smilin' she/her ...
