They've been roaming my neighborhood woods for months, but tonight was the first time they've been in MY woods. Within a hundred yards or a little more of my house

This wouldn't be a problem by itself, but I have cats and a dog outside. There are also cows about 20 yards behind my house in a decent sized pasture I have a gun but I'd rather not use it unless I have no choice

I went outside with it and listened and watched for a while but they were long gone. Got whatever they were after. Legit has me spooked for the wellbeing of my outside fuzzies

Pee along the tree line when you can, not joking at all. Space it out and make an eventual scent line between the woods and your home. I've had mountain dudes who's families have been here for generations swear by it.

Tending the significance to match a whimsied fable, tumult for the ignorant and purpose for the violence, a confused loose alliance forming them and us.

From what I understand, they are scavengers. The cows should be safe, I'd be more worried about the small pets.

The cows aren't mine. I know they won't fuck with me, I'm too big. But yeah the other animals are in real danger

This. I live in Portland and see them about once a month at least. TC sounds like they live in a place where this shouldnt be a rare thing

My moms neighborhood had a bunch of outdoor cats. Then a coyote moved in. All the outdoor cats disappeared.
If you have more than 1 coyote I dont think any small outdoor animals have a chance,

All my cats have been outside and inside cats, mostly outside. And like I said, we have a good population of them here. Never had a cat disappear. But they have lots of things to eat that wont run like a cat would

may have to put down a coyote or two as a warning to protect your pets if they get near again.

I dunno your wilderness environment, but trees sure help cats survive in a coyote zone. Cats in Arizona? They got it rough.

*cat runs for its life for 5 minutes*

*every coyote in town*. There he is.

Really. You dont say. What a revelation.

There are also a shitload of areas with zero trees. Weird that they can both be true. But they are.
