Last week, the 11th circuit court of appeals ruled that Judge Aileen Cannon overstepped her authority greatly.

Basic points:

• Judge Cannon doesn't even have jurisdiction to appoint a special master in this case and should not have done so
• Even if she did have jurisdiction, this case does not pass the test to grant the judiciary the authority to block a criminal investigation from taking place after a lawful search warrant has been executed
• The 11th circuit court of appeal's ruling happened last week and it takes 7 days for the order to officially issue, and that 7 days is now up. So the Judge Dearie is to no longer be doing anything with the case and Judge Cannon can't do anything further, either. The DoJ's investigation will now be able to move forward unimpeded.

Judge Aileen Cannon really should face sanctions of some sort, but I'm not sure if that will happen.

So far, it doesn't seem like the Trump team will do any further appeals. Even if they do, though, the 11th circuit court of appeal's ruling is basically saying none of the special master bullshit should have happened in the first place. SCOTUS has already refused to take up at least a couple previous appeals from the Trump team in this matter.

Glad they finally got called out on this nonsense BS

Hopefully with the new files found recently, Trump will actually face some consequences

Also, after 2 more classified documents were found in storage, the DoJ is now asking U.S. District Judge Beryl A. Howell to hold Trumps office in contempt for failing to comply with their May subpoena.

Will dis judge be punished for doing something she knew she shouldn't have?

The only check on federal judges is being impeached and removed by Congress.

But she has basically signed the death warrant for her career, she's never getting promoted and potentially could be reassigned to traffic court or something.

Depends on your definition of successfully. There was that one time Andrew Jackson turned the contempt dial up to 11 but the courts couldn't do anything about it and never did.

This is all uncharted waters, I think. Nobody really knows how it's gonna play out, but the DoJ going to these lengths at all makes me think they're going to indict Trump.

Not sure how long it's going to take, but again... uncharted waters.
