Most games I would say are already here, I think

Ace Attorney is great. Visual Novel, and a go at your own pace game. And they also have the Spin-off Prequels, too. And those add new mechanics, which are fun (Danganronpa is also good. But the courts cases can get hard because of the mechanics if shes still new)

The Zero Escape trilogy is also fun No rush, and mistakes are sometimes good to get the whole story

And Until Dawn/Heavy Rain/Beyond Two Souls are good options if she enjoyed Detroit: Become Human

But what type of stuff does she like? There are plenty of other games, but it would depend on her interest

Yeah my bf is alright with simple games, but anything involving platformers, run n guns, or twitch reactions and he struggles. I struggle to remember button combos for fighting games and im terrible at run n guns tbh. Maybe older games with simple control schemes? Beat em ups are pretty accessible and don't require complicated combos. Tetris type games are good for learning to have faster fingers. Brain teasers/puzzle games perhaps. Things like that.

I feel like for someone still struggling to remember buttons would be best beginning with something turn-based. How do you think she would feel about a strategy game? Like Civilization

If you're in it for a long game, try Divinity: Original Sin(or 2). Easier difficulties make it pretty simple, you can set everything on a quick bar, and some of the interactions are kind of hilarious.
