and both of my friends did not like it, but I loved it! Hell I'll put it above Top Gun and just under Everything Everywhere All At Once. Some parts did get really graphic, but man what an experience lol. There were parts in the movie that was so absurd I think I was the only one who laughed. Thanks for the recomendation @bsp77

My theater was laughing hysterically through most of it. And the line about my mother was killed by a bread truck was the funniest thing I have heard all year.

I don't think any of his movies are free on streaming right now. But definitely worth the $4 to rent In Bruges on Amazon or Apple. Same with Three Billboards, but start with In Bruges based on the same actors.

According to the justwatch app, seven psychopaths is on paramount+, three billboards is on fubu (whatever that is) and fx+, and in brugse is not on anything without renting

and my personal rankings would go three billboards > in brugse > banshees > seven psychopaths

but theyre all best picture quality movies

Oh, Seven Psychopaths is on Paramount? I still need to see that one, even if considered his "worst" one.

Currently, I think Banshees > Three Billboards > In Bruges, but that is NOT a knock at In Bruges as all 3 are great.

I would watch Seven Psychopaths tonight but I want to watch Whiplash (never seen it) in preparation for Babylon.

Thanks guys! I'll give you guys my own personal rating when I do get to eventually watch the films.

And yeah my friends and the theater audience sucked. There were clearly fucking drop dead hilarious moments and barely anyone laughed. I had one friend who didn't enjoy it because he could barely make out what they're saying because of the accents (apparently he made the same complaint about Wakanda Forever) and my other friend said this movie was pointless (and yet loved Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, also technically a "pointless" movie as well). The only thing I learned in the future is to never invite both of these guys to watching movies ever again.

Pointless? I thought the movie has a lot to say about humanity - friendship, living one's life, what makes someone happy, legacy, isolation, feeling trapped, etc. But the movie offers no clear cut answers to any of it, and that can make some uncomfortable.

Also, at first I was thrown by the more surreal and macabre aspects until I realized that this felt like the best previously undiscovered tragicomedy by Shakespeare.

Quote is meant for both of you. JK Simmons is absolute magic. Counterpart is a testament to that. Whiplash was tremendous, too.

I liked it even more than In Bruges. Though it has been a while since I saw that one.

In Bruges is one of my all-time favorites, so Im hyped.

Ralph Fiennes in In Bruges is one of my favorite film performances ever.
