my main credit card is my CapitalOne QuickSilver card, which gets me 1.5% cash back. its great.

but, its a mastercard. which is fine, except i like to shop at Costco, which only takes Visa credit cards!

so i have to use my debit card or whatever. im just leaving money on the table!

but i dunno i guess Visa is too high tier or any of the sub-prime credit cards. well, except for Creditone but i dont want to give them my business!

So you just want a credit card with higher rewards. Tell us all when there is one that gives like 10 percent.

It's hilarious that Costco's credit card only gives you 2% back for shopping at Costco. Why the fuck would I want that when I have a credit card that gives me universal 2% already

The Costco citibank visa is great. 2% cashback from costco, 3% from gas, 2% restaurants, 3% travel expenses and 1 from everything else.

There's like 20 different 2% cash-back on everything cards. Just get one of them.

That is a good point. But business is a hustle and a mind game. The spiel at my work I like is you can save 10 percent (sometimes more) open a card and the pay it right off. If I opened a damn card with a place of business to just pay it off and never use it again. I wouldn't open it in the first place.

Cause they will try to make you subscribe to their higher tier membership and it will total 4%. But yeah, the Amazon CC is a pretty good deal giving you 5% on purchases there.

Costco has a 4 percent rewards tier. Dang I wish they were here.

yes i need a subprime card cuz of my bankruptcy last year. Capitalone seems to have forgiven me for burning them. they gave me and my wife 2 credit cards, and even approved me for a Car Loan, but

Chase
Citibank
Discover
Navy Federal

will not give me a card. ever. maybe. i heard Amex will "forget" about you in 10 years, and Navy Federal will do business with you again if you agree to pay them back the money you originally owed them.

ill see about wells fargo. see if they are bankruptcy friendly.

maybe Bank Of America? i had one of their cards, but they closed it once my balances started getting out of control. i didnt actually owe them anything lol.

User from 2006 with not many posts did. Excellent. I wish I coulda did adult things like going "bankrupt" once.

Costco has a 4 percent rewards tier. Dang I wish they were here.

It does have a cap of around 1 or 2k.

Chase Amazon card, get 3% back on most everything and get Amazon points. I have $250 over this year that I will use for Christmas presents and not pay out of pocket.

Yep so long as you pay the card off immediately and take advantage of the rewards you can get some goodies. My wife has a damn Ulta credit card and I keep trying to get her to move to something better with a better reward system.

I have the Bank of America Customized Cash Rewards as the second of my trifecta

its worth 3% on a chosen category of Gas, Dining, Drug Stores, Home Improvement/Furniture, Online shopping, or Travel. (I use it for gas)

2% back on grocery and wholesale clubs

1% back on everything else.

I do have a Quicksilver card and tis why I posted I often can keep a small balance because when it is small it's w/e a couple bucks in interest. But yea I know better to try and max out my card just for the meager rewards and then wonder why I'm broke and in debt.

I typically use it just to cover some purchases in the past you could just apply it straight to your balance.

Do people really believe the entirety of this. I mean there is probably some truth somewhere as small as it. But the original post was I want a Visa with rewards and then rambling and well I think summed it up good with the 2nd post.

We have a Hilton AmEx which gives us points for hotel rooms. We probably get 3-5 nights a year for free. I need to do the math and figure out if a straight cash back system makes more sense.

I've heard companies are trying hard to "reign in" their rewards now, often sneakily behind your back so you accrue less flying miles, hotel points, etc..
