i.e. 256gb of storage, 8gb of ram.

when it came out all the Youtubers were like: "8GB of ram in 2022 is useless! you'll run out as soon as you turn on the computer! Chrome!!!! and the SSD is SLOOOOOOW. before they used 2 128gb cards, now just 1 256!!! DUAL DATA RATE ISNT JUST FOR RAM!!! APPLE IS EVIL!!!!! 100% make sure you get 16gb of ram and 512GB of storage or YOURE JUST THROWING YOUR MONEY AWAY"

but at that price point, you might as well get a macbook pro, which i didn't want.

so yeah. its been fine. no slow downs or anything. fine for everyday use.

i mean sure, i guess i wouldn't be able to export a HDR10 8K video file in record time, but im not doing that and didn't intend to do that with this config??? so whatever?

i give it a 9/10 i wish it had a touch bar (lmao jk)
