Im late to the party I guess. I got this game for free on PS Plus years ago but just started it a couple weeks ago. I finally finished my first run without dying. Still so much to do though. Its so addictive; I feel strongly compelled to do just one more run.

I was able to finish the run because I got a Dark Marker on the first floor, and its synergy on the 2nd floor that makes it constantly activate blanks. Bosses were a cake-walk. Finished the dragon on my first try only getting hit once.

Whats everyones hardest boss? I freaking hate the tank whenever it comes up. Takes so long to kill.

It was awesome when I did play it, I was so into Issac that I only sank about 30 hours into Gungeon. I should go back to it.

I love that genre of game, but this one just didn't click with me. I think it's because it's so difficult and I'm just not interested enough in the outset to work at getting good at it.

i'm going to start it someday. if i ever finish the binding of isaac plat (not the DLC stuff) that's last.

love that game. after a while all the bosses are about the same.

Kill Pillars are probably my least favorite one.
And congrats on the quick win lol, so fun to get a ridiculous synergy early on.

The rat is the hardest boss.

Learning the enemy behavior and boss patterns go a LONG way towards getting better at the game. The other half is unlocking more guns, items, and helpful npcs that can help carry you.

I remember me and my roommate playing Gungeon alot and it was stupid chaotic to the point it felt harder to focus on co-op than solo.

It's the fucking bosses with mile long health bars that bring the game down a little compared to the skill-oriented bosses in Binding of Isaac. And it's a very loaded game too which makes it feel worse for completionists not as good in these games :/

For sure, a lot of games like this, learning enemy patterns and patience. I enjoy the grind.

After putting 1200+ hours into isaac, I didn't have the patience to learn a whole new slew of enemies, bosses, items, and characters.

Gungeon is fantastic in design, but I was wholly burnt out on roguelites by then.

Also dodge rolling with WASD was a bit clunky and I got frustrated easily with the bullet spread.

I love it, great game. The Ammoconda is the worst boss easily, probably the only one other than the tank I regularly fail to kill flawlessly

Hardest bosses imo-

The Rat is just unquestionably the hardest since hes basically a super boss with like 3 phases.

Old King always seemed too tanky for how early and his bullet hell sequences were kind of annoying / inconsistent.

I haven't played the game in a year. There's a lot a liked about it, but ultimately I think I just wasn't good enough at the game. It took me like 70 hours just to beat the Dragun for the first time I believe. I was able to beat the Hunter's past because that's extremely easy. But failing the pasts of both the Marine and Convict really soured things a lot for me. I wasn't consistently even getting to the fifth floor, let alone being able to kill the Dragun.

Plus, when it comes to scratching the roguelite itch, I think Dead Cells is a vastly superior game. Plays very differently of course, but while Dead Cells is very hard, I don't really view it as an insurmountable wall like I do with Gungeon.

I loved it, even got all the achievements. Though I still think Nuclear Throne is better. Enter the Gungeon's pace is much slower though which made it easier.

100%'d it with my brother. Couch Co-op is, oddly enough, more difficult due to the lack of camera control during bullet hell sequences. One of my favorite games of all time.

Turning on Rainbow chests makes the game more playable, imo.
