Why would you want to?

She's definitely not used enough in spinoffs, was kinda silly to see Lightning in World of Final Fantasy when Vanille is clearly the superior waifu and character.

I thought she was great. Once i had full control, Vanille never left my party.

She had a base 1% chance to instakill enemies, plus an additional 1% chance per status ailment on that enemy.

So with a bit of luck, you could instant kill them long before you normally would be able to. Which helped you get the materials needed to create the strongest weapons for each character.

You needed a ton of them, and they weren't a 100% drop, so this didn't make the game easy, just started the grind earlier.

She is the character who improves the most by replaying the game. Her entire shtick was being a giant foreshadowing engine.

Is there even any point to grinding Adamantoises? Isn't that a purpose unto itself. You grind them to get money which you can use to make better equipment to more efficiently grind Adamantoises and nothing else.

The game has multiple superbosses that you need maxed out gear for and Adamantoises are your Trap sources to max weapons out.

I definitely defeated every other enemy before I maxed out my weapons with boring ass toise farming back when I cared about trophies.

I guess not everyone is as hardcore as you for beating Attacus with less than maxed gear.

They were the only enemies that dropped Trapezohedrons (and it was a rare drop). You needed 36 Trapezohedrons total to upgrade all Tier 2 weapons into Tier 3 weapons. This helped you fight the post game bosses. But it was also needed for the achievement for having all items.

It was a pretty long grind. So you started with the death trick until you had strong enough weapons to fight them normally, then you'd farm.

The shop also sold Trapezohedrons for 2 million, so it helped that Adamantoises also had a 25% chance to drop an item worth 150k. But even with that you were usually drifting them for several hours.

That the main purpose of grinding Adamantoise is to grind more adamantoise. If you needed to do that to do other content that's not an insult. Other than the game insulting you by requiring you to grind for hours (was it tens of hours?) just to defeat an extra enemy or two. That's awful design.
