This is a solid game. I'm really enjoying the setting, the story, and the combat.

Did you enjoy this game as well? Did you also enjoy Odyssey? Or Valhalla? And how does this game stack up against The Witcher 3?

I played Valhalla recently as a sort of "see where the series has gone" as my last game was Revelations.

It had a high production quality but it didn't hir anywhere else. AC combat is trash so the fact that they've pivoted to it so hard is awkward, especially since it came at the cost of making assassination basically a side thing. Similarly they took the boring exploration and turned it into almost the entire game while also removing the cities to romp about (the largest Valhalla city is smaller than the smallest AC1 city). As a byproduct there weren't any particularly interesting landmarks (and by that I mean that there were none) and they have the modern trend of having people live in ruins because it's too hard to city plan, or something. The writing has always been loose but Valhalla's got really bad for a mission in the middle and unfortunately that mission was flat out the most important one plot-wise and thus it tainted everything else by proxy.

Odyssey has Kassandra so it wins.

I absolutely loved Origins. After the previous ps4 assassin creeds felt like hot garbage, Origins was just an amazing experience with one of the best protagonists of all time, I simply loved Bayek and his story and his relationship with his son.

I've been trying to get into Odyssey but it just feels off. Loathed it from the moment they had a choose your character and introducing dialogue choices nonsense, which indicates to me that they're not going to have the heartfelt emotional journey of Bayek's in Origins if their focus is on arbitrary shit like that.

Play as Kassandra and fall in love like everyone else.

Origins was great. Bayek was fantastic.

Been slowly playing Odyssey and Kasandra is pretty great as well and I love me some ancient Greek. Just wish we got to use a shield as well.

Origins is the best of the new Assassin's Creed games.

Graphics upgrade on series x is wonderful.
