This might be the stupidest thing you read today

So Im a nighttime truck driver, and when Im driving, I think about my past and the choices I made. So the other night, I start thinking about this girl I went to school with in 6th grade, who Im pretty sure had a mad crush on me, I found a picture of her she slipped into my locker, and I always liked her too but never told her, and now I cant get out of my head that we liked each other but never said anything.

My question is, other than how much of a moron I am, is should I try to reach out to her? Not to see if she still likes me or anything(because this happened over 20 years ago) but just to rekindle an old friendship? Im very happily married now, but I cant stop thinking about it

It's kind of weird you're married and you can't stop thinking about this.

Judgment aside, it probably isn't worth it. How much do you have to gain?

I dont even know what I would gain from it, probably closure, because there is a lot of things I never got closure from that still bother me today

Its probably not healthy to fantasize about 6th grade girls while driving around at night.

You won't get "closure" from most things in life. Best to just move on and let sleeping dogs lie. The world's too big to stay stuck in the past.

Maybe travel. It can do wonders for your perspective.

During life there will be hundreds of things that you will never get closure with. That's life. You're married now and need to forget about this 20 years ago girl.
