In the last few years the number of movies and series I have went through keeps declining. It's because if I start watching by myself especially, then I tend to get an urge to rather be playing video games. It's not that I don't love movies or series, but lately I only watch when I'm eating or with partner. Also, pandemic made me not want to go to a theater in a long time. The only real movie I look forward to right now is the Super Mario Bros movie which is game related. Just wondering if anybody else is going through this. It's just games are a better experience. That 2 hours in a movie could be time playing several matches of a battle royale game, half of a walking sim, couple levels up in an rpg, completing a world in a platformer, etc... ... I went through that awhile ago and just stopped watching movies and shows altogether... I see like one movie a year (Usually one my coworker invites me to so he usually buys my ticket) and barely watch shows unless I'm not feeling good or I'm too tired to start something up... Like I just finished Season 1 of The Mandolorian a month or two ago and that took me forever and I don't know when (if ever) I'll sit down and start Season 2 Just not interested in shows or movies when I could be playing games... --- NNID:MrOddities|PSN:OddGamer2013 Playing:Splatoon 3|Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot|God of War: Ragnarok|Pokemon Scarlet|Pokemon Violet ... Funny to see the opposite experience. I think it boils down to one's experiences and situation in life too. I think biggest factor for me is just the abundance of nonstop games with now game subscriptions, free to play, mobile games, VR games, cheap indie games, free giveaways, emulation, physical backlog, etc.. There's a game just waiting to be played at every turn and time. I can play an idle game here and there between doing tasks at home, meanwhile it's playing itself when I leave. Also, movies and shows are super formulaic. I know games can be too, but you're often given leeway because interactivity. ... Copied to Clipboard!
