I dont know when they changed the recipe or if theyve always been play dough esque brownie with a thick frosting but I had one for the first time in at least a decade and couldnt make it past one in the 6 pack

Yeah the taste seems different, and not in a good way.

They don't taste different, odds are you've just grown and your pallete has evolved since you were a kid which is why the amount of sugar and grease in them sticks out more.

Never heard of those. The colorful sprinkles are the only thing that look appealing.

Luckily brownies are the easiest snack to make, even brownie mix turns out perfect and I have a jar of rainbow sprinkles so you can replicate this easy enough no worries!

The grease in some things that I didn't notice as a kid but nowadays dry out my tongue, yuck. ;-;

they are pretty gross. i haven't tried nutty buddies in a long time but i remember those being pretty good

99% of those snack cake recipes have changed in the last decade or so, actually. It isn't just nostalgia to think Entenmenn's, little debbie, etc used to have better quality.

lol I just bought some last week and yeah they were pretty underwhelming, but they were as a kid too.

The only one I know that I have physical evidence for is the Cadbury creme egg, that one is the biggest example of what you're talking about (ironically because it's getting smaller, among other things)

Shrinking sizes is pretty obvious but I'm fairly certain corn syrup has been the standard corporate sweetener in the US for a long time. I specifically remember kids in my school raving about "Mexican coke" from mom-and-pop stores because they apparently used real sugar, lol

I've never heard of those before, but based on the name I thought this was going to be about brownies with "special" ingredients in them.

What a disappointment.

Yeah all little Debbie's and hostess cakes taste different now. The only ones I'll still eat are Fudge rounds and strawberry short cakes. Ho hos from hostess are p good still too.

Zingers are the best example. They used to be the best shit ever now they are slimy oily dog shit. And they are half the size as they used to be.

I remember how good Dominos pizza used to be. Now its undercooked and they use a different type of cheese that stays white and looks like a lunchable. The old pizza was so much better. Same with every type of fast food fries. They use cheaper potatoes now and changed the oil they cook them in. I swear that Dr Pepper changed their recipe at some point because now it has a sickeningly sweet cotton candy aftertaste instead of the classic bite.
