I have gotten email spam with this claim but this is first text spam with this claim. It supplies a link which I am going to check out with a real VPN instead of google FI's.

For some reason my Gmail never catches these spams. Everytime I mark one in gmail as spam a new one appears and the subject begins with the same string.

I am getting lots of packages around now and occasionally a driver will be weird and want to drop my package off on a main street with a similar name instead of following the GPS.

I've started to play around with spam when I get it, just to see how far the rabbit hole goes.

Looks as though VPN does not protect that much.

Missed package delivery scam emails...

• Has all the classic signs of a scam email.
• Urgency, element of surprise, strange links or QR code.
• Even the footer looks real. They even included privacy policy.
• The strange sender address clearly gives it away.

You said a phone text link though?

Yeah, don't click on that and block the number.

Reverse phone search the number and find other complaints from it.

Apparently enough users marked the number as spam that the text went to spam and blocked.
