Spain 2014 failing that spectacularly to end their incredible run was still a shock.

I suppose the trap is believing that basically the same team is still as great 4 years later. Kinda what's hurting Belgium now. Brazil 2006 also had this problem to some extend even if they made top 8.

Italy have not made it out of the group stage since their victory, ironically, despite having won the euros.

A Serbia victory today eliminates Cameroon unless Brazil gets 0 points which seems likely enough.

Serbia gets eliminated with a loss only if Brazil and Switzerland tie I think. A bit less likely.

I like Cameroon but this is a bit like the Costa Rica thing. Them winning here is only gonna ruin the chances of the other team as they're not going to get a result against Brazil in that final game.

This is probably the best match of the tournament.

Wait Cameroon uses three substitutions now? They're having their best moment of the match.

Could've been a big Serbia game if Mitrovic had not wasted his big chances. Not that this one was as big as the two early ones.

Serbia was the better team I think, but well fought back by Cameroon. This was probably the best match of the tournament so far and it's a shame it was in a times lot and between two teams not cared too much about that not many saw it.

Korea look up for this.

Drawing Uruguay is no bad result either. Portugal are rightfully group favorites, but I think Uruguay's chances of winning are much greater than most seem to think.

I don't rate Portugal. That being said if Korea have any hope of getting out of this group they need to win this and hope Portugal win later on.

Just checked the wiki. There is one left standing. Andr Ayew. He is also their captain.

And he was suspended during their defeat.

Uruguay has more left. Looks to be Muslera, Godin, Cavani, Caceres and of course Suarez himself.

Probably was complaining about the final whistle being blown before another corner kick and then said something that got him a red.

The Asian teams had such a good day 1 and now they're all blowing it, yeah.

Except Iran that did the exact opposite.

I'd say they are more inconsistent. Japan and Saudi Arabia had good performances in the first round of the group stage while Australia and Iran had poor performances. Now that the second round is almost over the opposite is true.

Australia, Iran and Japan only need draws to advance to the round of 16. Easier said than done, but should they pull it off it would be the best performance ever from Asia (best ever was 2 teams in the round of 16 in 2002 and 2010).

Not if Costa Rica beats Germany!

You can see Neymar missing here. They're missing a playmaker, though they'll probably still win.

If Japan qualify by drawing with Spain it'll be a miracle. Germany will more than likely beat Costa Rica by a few.
