There's still a lot of customization options. FFS!

Yes and no.

You can only wear your school uniform as the main clothes, but you get four versions of it, each for the four seasons.

However, you can still customize your headwear, glasses, socks, shoes, gloves, backpack, and leggings.

The word "still" doesn't give me hope

yeah, they fucked us over, and the rest of the customization looks like shit when you have to build everything around those dorky ass uniforms. i don't know what they were thinking. it's always 1 step forward 5 steps back with gamefreak

Lol they gave us motorcycle and fucking space helmets but you can only wear them with school uniforms. :|

I really have to wonder if they're actually appealing to some niche part of the fanbase that actually likes the uniforms or if the idea is just the pet obsession of one of the devs.

It was one thing in SWSH when you only had to wear it for gyms and you could still customize for regular gameplay. Its another to just force it all the time for no reason.

yeah, i found riot helmets and shit made of gold, but you can't do anything interesting with them

Kinda wish you could at least change the color of your uniform. At least after beating the game. There are so many items and so many colors that don't work with orange and white uniforms.

Also, why are there shoes and phone cases with komala and combee but literally NO merch with lechonk? Did they not see the response to lechonk's reveal? Or remember that it's the first pokeyman you catch in the game? Who gives a shit about combee?

Probably to relate to the school children that Game Freak--or at least, Masuda and Ohmori--are targeting much more than older fans nowadays.

Tbh the shops take way too long to load the preview of the clothing. I don't even bother with the customization anymore.

the facial features you can pick from are at least pretty good.

Exactly lol.

Yeah you can't change your shirt/pants, you can change everything else, but that's like playing soccer without a ball, or making lasagna without pasta, or a lamp without a light bulb.

Its really limited since barely anything matches the uniforms.
