Is it? All things normal, is it absolutely 100% necessary for you to drive to live your day-to-day life?

Eh... In my day to day, driving isn't quite necessary. Biggest issue would be having to walk the 20-30 minutes to work or getting a ride.

The store is equally about as far a walk away, so even that wouldn't be too big of a hassle.

But I feel driving is necessary for my mental health. I hate feeling directly reliant on anyone and if I can not be an inconvenience to someone, I'd prefer that. So being able to drive is as much for my own internal sake than outward factors necessitating I be able to drive.

My job is 30 miles from my house, so commuting would be much more difficult. Walking or riding a bike the whole way is out of the question. I could take the bus, but it would certainly take longer and I would need to plan my day more carefully.

I'm not really in close walking proximity for other things like grocery stores or restaurants either. Aside from convenience stores, everything is at least a 2 to 3 mile walk.

No.

I can't drive. Seems pretty stressful anyway, I keep hearing about gas prices.

Driving sucks, so I moved to the city where I rely on public transit to get around. Saves me a lot of $$$

I also have two major bus lines intersection at my corner, and 10 minutes gets me to 2 train stations

Driving a car here is far more hassle than its worth, which is why hardly anybody does it.

Motorbikes are very common, and I do have one but its completely unnecessary.

Not worth it where I live. I was going for a walk today at about 6pm and I saw traffic jams everywhere. Kind of depressing.

I have two cars and I haven't driven either of them in months. My family has basically usurped them, but as I live in urbania lite, everything is either a walk or a 20 minute bus ride.

My job is like 4 miles away, so that would be a long ass walk to work every day. Possible, but it would be miserable.

Now if I wasn't working I could probably walk almost everywhere I wanted to go. Got a nice sized grocery store like 0.2 miles away and almost all my friends I hang out with are within a mile or two. Still, would be pretty annoying not being able to go to the mall and anywhere outta town without a ride.

Work is only like 2 1/2 miles away so I can bike there, but it would be a real pain when raining/snowing or sub-0 F. But the nearest grocery store is like 11 miles away and there aren't really driving alternatives around here.
