I probably asked this at one point already, but now that I actually have Three Houses I want to ask again. Haven't started it yet, but I've been meaning to. Actually tempted to get the DLC now that it's on sale. I'll be able to knock off another 7.45 with gold points, too. Basically what I really want to know is how much does it add gameplay-wise, aside from Cindered Shadows?

I forget what else it adds besides the bath house for extra chances to improve relationships

That's the Cindered Shadows dlc. You get the 4 students to recruit after you finish I think all but the last chapter?

It adds:

-Cindered Shadows as a side story.

-Four new playable characters, who IMO are some of the best in the game.

-Two new paralogue maps in the main game, focusing on the new characters.

-Abyss is added to the monastery, with bells and whistles associated with it like an item/renown exchange.

-Extra sidequests around the monastery.

-Interacting with cats around the monastery.

-A steam house in the monastery to build support points and improve a character's learning for a while.

-A handful of new items, like one that grants Distant Counter when held and one that gives Canto to anyone when held. There are a few new battalions as well.

I'm probably forgetting some things too.

I typically recommend the pass to people who plan to do another full run of TH. Cindered Shadows is quite solid, but the biggest draw of the entire pass for me was getting the new characters in the main game.

That seems like way too little for I assume twenty bucks

Unless it's cheaper I guess

30% off currently, and I'll be using gold points to bring it further down to around ten bucks. I originally planned on getting it after buying all the 3DS games I still want, but I'd definitely rather get it for 10 bucks or so, lol.

It's on sale right now.

Either way, CS, the new cast, the extra lore, the additional paralogues & supports tied to the new characters, and the bells and whistles are all pretty solid.

I do think that it's slightly overpriced at full price, but I ultimately didn't mind it. Yuri, Constance, and Balthus ended up being some of my favorite TH characters overall. Hapi is alright too, but she's a bit less fun by comparison.

One other thing you get is 4 new classes! Most of these are pretty cool. The 4 characters are each built to excel in one of these classes but they can also be given to the regular cast.

I liked it. Cindered Shadows was a really fun side-story that was a bit more classic-FE like gameplay-wise. Really fun maps.

The four Ashen Wolves are enjoyable characters in their own right. They are strong and worth using but largely balanced*. Constance is also best girl.

The most disappointing thing about it is that it adds 4 new classes but one two of them are particularly fun and those are gender-locked to women. I guess War Cleric is also fun, but while not genderlocked, it's really only fun for women since it finally gives them a half-decent punch class. So you can let best girl Constance go punch wild with Aura knuckles.

*Balthus used correctly absolutely Seths the first few chapters, even on Maddening but he comes back to earth and becomes just normal after that.
