wasting my whole life online

Being me.

Agreeing to move to a small city in order to start a business with my mom instead of simply continue to work the same two jobs.

Not figuring out a decent job id like to do.

It was either preordering Battlefield 2042 Ultimate Edition for $110 or being too much of a puss to tell one girl I got along really well with for years how I felt about her

But BF2042 kinda stings more since I got it for free with a SSD a few months later

Getting to the egg first

TC embodies the Frequently Asked Questions part of the GameFAQs name with his infatuation with making the same topics repeatedly. There are a few game themed questions sprinkled in but he asks with such low enthusiasm or genuine interest that it cancels them out.

I would like to see the other side of the coin. There might be someone on whatever the opposite of CE is who is all games all the time and has answers instead of questions.

Probably not taking my HS and College academics more seriously.

I was the kind of student that usually "got it" the first time around, so I'd dick around a lot, knowing I would be able to rally come Test and Finals times.

If I really went all-out, I probably would've got into a better school, and who knows where I would be now.

Not making an effort to learn to socialize growing up.

Though in my defense I was homeschooled and my parents didn't give me many opportunities to learn.

Letting a certain someone walk all over me and control me growing up.

Allowing myself to believe it when adults told me as a kid that I could do anything I put my mind to.

It's blatantly false. Sheer determination might help you accomplish a lot of things you might have thought you couldn't, but that doesn't extend to literally everything. Not everything is meant to be achieved or conquered, and nobody can succeed at everything. Sometimes your best effort will not be enough. That is life. What's important isn't being able to succeed at everything you try, but being able to bounce back from the failures. You're not some broken being just because you gave something everything you had and still didn't succeed; that's just how things be sometimes.

I feel this is one of the most important life lessons one can learn, and trying to teach kids some fake idealized version of it isn't doing them any favors for later on in their lives. I didn't get to learn this when I should have thanks to numerous authority figures who ought to know better trying to paint a brighter picture for the little kiddies, and it fucked up a good chunk of my adolescence and 20s and has left repercussions on my life even today.

Not starting a Roth IRA when I was 19 and having my econ professor telling us we'd be millionaires by the time we retired by just throwing a couple thousands in there every year.
