it's true. an entire new generation is being priced out of the ability to live comfortably and thrive and being forced to work themselves to the bone and still struggle, while not having any appreciable say in how the government is run because no one in office is representing their interests, and large corporations are allowed to run rampant and roughshod, and the solution is supposed to be more pills from the corrupt pharmaceutical industry, pills based on research about chemical imbalances that we've known for decades is faulty, instead of actually addressing any of these societal issues? yeah.

Addressing societal issues should be done, but we know that antidepressants do work even if the commonly held misconception of what they're doing is wrong. They're not a cure, they're a tool for helping the mentally ill cope with the problems of living in this hell.

It's the one thing I can count on leftists, progressives, liberals, and right wingers to think.

It's so unbelievably frustrating to try to tell people that "yes, pharmaceutical companies are corrupt. Yes, there may be an issue with over prescribing of some medications. But they still do work."

I'm pretty sure I'm alive today because of medication I started taking severely reducing my suicidial ideations that were starting to become steps to take rather than passive thoughts.

This is apparent at a glance. US holding his citizens hostage over making as much money as they can to live the American dream. And fuck you if you can afford it. Then when your mental health is down lots of people dont make or have the time or cant afford it since psychiatrist sessions are expensive as hell.

Pretty sure this is a big contributor to mass shootings as well.

Medicines are a good band aid, but dont address the root of the problem. Thats why theyre taken in conjunction with therapy and a healthy and balanced lyfestyle if you truly want to get rid of them.

Anyway the reason WE TAKE THEM its mainly because how stressful and overwhelming life has become under this uber unregulated capitalistic world.
