No, because glitches in an 8-bit game are very different from glitches today. Back then, glitches were often really more like fun exploits. Now it's mostly just extremely bad performance, messed up graphics and crashes.

On Red years ago, there was some glitch that caused my lvl 13 Pikachu to spontaneously evolve. It was pretty sick.

Can't believe the teleport glitch to get any pokemon (most importantly Mew) was discovered some years later. Pretty damn cool

You could play pokemon blue and red and not be like "Wow, the performance in this game is really hampering my experience"

One was the first attempt and the other is an enormously successful IP phoning it in.
What fun are you gonna have with lag anyway? At least in gen 1 toxic + leechseed stacking together is a fun power trip and if you really really want a Mew in gen 1, the game and its supposedly no longer existent events cannot stop you.

Except the last part isn't true, many of them are funny and don't have any negative effects still.

Because the game runs even worse than PLA does, and multiple other companies have managed practically flawless releases on the same console, including releases that were ports of games built around superior hardware.
