What's funny is that by the time it became decent in S4, it was too late to stop it being cancelled.

I'm towards the end of season 2 and it's got a very different vibe than any of the previous shows. Think it really captures the feeling that this is humanity's first steps into a galactic landscape and they've got to figure shit out for the first time.

The politics in play also feel a bit more "grounded" and direct, with less obfuscation by metaphor, but that may be because this came out in a post-9/11 world and I'm more aware of what the politics of that era were like. Not a bad thing, just a different feel.

Idk if I'd call it "better" than Voyager, but I actually really like Voyager. >_> I think there's enough good that it's worth giving a try.

I think at first it's the dissonance between the older themes and Faith of the Heart that throws people off. But I generally don't like the sound it goes for anyway. Though by now I've been Stockholm Syndrome'd into loving it <_<

She considered the creature the protagonist and thought he was interesting. Was really interested in the reactions of the villagers to the monster. Claimed she wanted to see Bride of Frankenstein next lol.

Idk these small little glimpses into the "daily life" of characters is always fun for me. Doubly so when pop culture is involved. One of my favorite DS9 scenes is Bashir and Garak discussing Cardassian literature. >_>

The opening theme to Enterprise is grade A shit. You couldn't have listen to much music if you think that utter fucking shit sung horribly by Russell Watson is a good tune.
