For a bottle at a restaurant, it is only marginally more expensive than if you bought it a store.

Having said that, I know some people who a very passionate about wine who think it's totally overpriced as is.
...And maybe not even that great in the first place.

Alot of the experience, atleast for me, is the restaurants location, aesthetics, and overall vibe. Sometimes a special occasion calls for a special venue, regardless if the food and drinks are actually worth that price.

could cook a better steak at home for 50$.
