Is that really your case you're using? Are those really all the components you have? Wondering why you're going with the 12700k over 12600k or even 13th gen Raptor Lake. Your CPU is going to get choked the fuck out by that case, if that truly is the case you bought. You could probably get a 6800 XT for $500, but I don't know what USD prices are.

It's going to be pretty cramped in that case. If you're using an air blower on the CPU, I'd look at increasing airflow, run it without the side panel. If you get an AIO for the CPU, that will make it cooler.

yes, that's an old case that i had from my first build like 7 years and thought that it was still useful to this day. so i didn't want to spend extra money on a new case lol

i went with the 12700k because microcenter had a combo deal with a motherboard that basically made the motherboard free

Problem is it's an old outdated case, and you're running hot components. It wouldn't be such a glaring issue if the case you had was conducive to airflow, but it's not.

Basically every single fan in there is a 92 mm. The moment you do anything CPU intensive, it's going to choke itself. I don't even know if they make 92 mm PWM fans anyways. They're going to be molex, which means they'll run at full speed all the time. Strongly recommend getting a different case.

No they aren't, you have no idea what you are talking about. The only bad thing about that case is the front panel which could be modified to allow more airflow.

I think you'll be better served having something with a mesh front panel for optimum airflow. Even something like this would be acceptable. You'd only have two 120 mm fans in the front, but you have room for two more exhaust up top and one exhaust out the rear.

They're all 120 mm? It's still a very outdated case. I'd use it if I were looking at building a low powered retro build, like AM2+ or gen 4 Intel. The side panel fans are there to blow cool air directly onto the CPU, which would have a downward blower style stock cooler to push air across all the controllers and VRMs. It's going to be significantly reduced with a tower cooler like OP is buying.

Have a look at the Cooler Master CMP 510, it has 3 massive fans on the front panel for increased airflow. Really any case with 3 120mm fans on the front would be ideal.
