An pretty enjoyable game thats buried underneath a big pile of glitches, subpar visuals, and a bunch of performance issues if youre playing on an actual switch

The opening is quite a bit of a drag to get through. But once you can freely explore it's fun. But yeah, glitches and performance issues abound.

Early game you're forced into a cave, but there apparently invisible barriers that are following another character. Your character spazzes out if you get near the barrier, and refuses to walk if you get close to the character you're following.

Twice I caught a pokemon and it somehow put the camera underground so I couldn't see anything. Which is a hassle because in this game the free roaming Pokemon are constantly underfoot.

Then the frame rate. I thought it wouldn't be too bad, probably similar to Legends Arceus... No, it's far worse than that. If a character is more than like 20 feet away they're animated at what looks like 1 frame per second. Like game and watch characters. Then there's the introductory classroom scene. Basically all the characters were like that. It's pretty strange.

Performance wise it's pretty bad, like we're talking launch Cyberpunk 2077 on last gen consoles bad.

But hey, it's a pokmon game.

Bugs and performance issues abound but people would love this game if it didn't tbhhhh

Its not Cyberpunk bad.

The game is honestly amazing but the performance and bugs drag the experience down hard.

It's fun, and I haven't been big on pokemon for awhile. But wew...

I'm flicking through the Werster playthrough and these battles can be painfully slow. Everything feels like it takes a little longer to get to the next animation or text box. Some of the opponents like to talk as well.
Final boss sucks bad.

Played for five hours last night

Had a blast just running around area one collecting all the items and pokemon i encountered

I'll see what the patches do for this one...

I played a few hours last night.
Had an absolute blast.
so far Wigglet is a disappointment but I won't give up on him.

The framerate and graphics reminds me of playing Skyrim on a cheap ass Walmart laptop in the early 2010s.

Other than that it's fun and you can tell they did make some effort to mix up the gameplay and stop babying players so much.

It runs horribly, but I've been having fun. Compared to Sword and Shield that phoned in the standard formula in a horribly subpar way, this is at least trying to evolve the series, even with all the steps back in other areas.

They're fun, playing multiplayer with my gf and we're having a blast wandering around finding items and new Pokemon. Lot of framerate issues and bugs, and both our games hard crashed which I've never had a Switch game do. Luckily there seems to be a generous autosave.

People all complain about the framerates and bugs and its not deterred me at all. Game is fun af. At first it was slow and I was a little let down. Then after the academy, they threw me out there and gave me 3 different questlines to follow and that excited me more than ever.

I just went in the direction of the bug gym but didn't even do the gym, been leveling in high level places all night. I caught a Scyther(my favorite pokemon) and don't even care what happens for the rest of the game. Put a power band on him to increase his ATK stat(which these items are the coolest ever) and he's been taking everyone out with Fury Cutter or Slash.

I was lvl 18 taking down lvl 24 and 25 pokemon and catching everything in my path. I want to do some Titan stuff but I'm worried that might be hard but glad the Team Star and Gyms have been separated. It feels like a breath of fresh air where I don't have to do some Team related shit just to get to the next gym.

I hardly scratched the world itself but it looks like its going to be fun. Some school related stuff, Titans, Team Star, Gyms, and raids? There's A LOT to do in comparison to old games. But all people can do is seem to complain about some of the framerates. Sure I noticed it but its not breaking my game so I don't really care. I'm still glad I paid the 60 for it.

Idk why they did this. The spritework was much more charming than these plain-ass 3D models anyways. If they don't have the savvy to make a 3D game (on a damn last-gen console at that, after multiple attempts now) just do what you know works.

I like the gameplay but gave up on this game after it crashed on me like 4 times already. Got sick of it and cant stand the frame rate as well. I've only experienced a few bugs but that's it. I have seen plenty from videos off Twitter tho lol. GF is slacking especially for other reasons

Played for couple hours last night... I did not want to stop.

It is very fun although I have not run into any madness yet other than when catching a Pokemon the camera will sometimes be half way under the ground. Places in the distance can be seen.

The issues made me returned my $130 dual pack.. plus I haven't even started Diamond and Shield... hahahha. I'll buy this again next year when the game gets patched, on sale, and possibly for Switch 2 if it releases next year...

The world and framerate look terrible and GF should be embarrassed, but the game is fun. Discovering new pokeymans is always cool and the move from random encounters to "see it and go fight it" makes exploring more interesting.
