Lol, Okumura was turned from a joke boss in vanilla P5 to quite possibly the most annoying fight in the game in Royal. I love it.

Haru's crazy bitch personality feels like something that was dropped in development since it's exclusive to Mementos chatter. Even in the sequel she doesn't show that side of her. It's a shame because she is the most bland character of the PT by far.

I feel like Haru gets snubbed a little, she doesn't get a lot of in-story chance to reveal her real feelings behind the ditzy/diplomatic exterior. It also seemed unrealistic how she was still squarely on the thieves' side after how palace 5 ended up. she doesn't get something like a scene where she goes through the angst and personal guilt of her potential involvement. i'm aware that her being a persona user means her heart was set on the change of heart no matter the outcome, but I think she needed a scene like that to add some depth to her. Otherwise it's kinda weird how she's in tow pretty seamlessly with everyone afterward. I guess this is a lot of words to say I don't think she has a complete arc.

You're exactly right. She really suffers from the structure of the game in general.

Her recruitment chapter is more about Morgana than it about her. Then immediately her Dad dies and she doesn't have time to make that into a big thing for her development either as she literally just joined. Then the remainder of the game is spent on the Phantom Thieves doing one last job before they break up for real this time.

Most of that could have been solved if she joined earlier in the game and her father was foreshadowed through Haru directly. But then the confidant stuff makes that difficult too. She's just awkwardly placed in general.

Get Concentrate on Joker then lv3 baton pass to him and use a move that they're all weak to or Megidola. Have Ryuji Tarukaja him.

If you have a save right before sending the calling card then you can go to Mementos and have Jose turn the crystal of greed into the ring, which gives a Concentrate skill that can be cast on anyone in the party.

Basically I'd recommend something like Joker / Haru / Morgana / Ryuji because the hard part is clearing the big executive robots with Psy weakness. Give Morgana a Psi ring and Haru a Garu ring or alternatively craft the Forces set at your workbench, the point is to send the max baton pass to Joker not deal damage with the party members.

This is how I did it, and I was underleveled.

If you don't have a save or aren't willing to go back, maybe trigger a fusion alarm and try to cook up something busted through network fusion or an accident.

Some say turning up the difficulty to Merciless actually makes it much easier due to dealing out triple the damage.

This is what I did. Makes the fight a breeze.

That boss was the fucking worst. I spent all my yen getting an overleveled curse persona, buying a curse amp accessory and getting some psio accessories for my party and it still took me four tries. But by golly its over.

Use an item as Haru >_>

I like putting her in the dlc costumes that more match her figure. Like put her in the P4 outfit and it works

Haru is the actual best girl, but she gets introduced so late everyone's already committed to Makoto. Her design and personality are great.

The Okumura boss fight is 100% garbage, though. Esp in Royal.

It's really annoying that after the palace arc is over you have to wait a few more weeks before you can start developing her confidant. That's way too late.

I like her Noir outfit, but she looks weird in most of the real world costumes--lots of big, puffy coats and oversized gym suits.

Can I just say fuck the mandatory DLC on game pass? It's incredibly hard to fuse Satan now because he has 4 remaining options and it's with shit like Messiah Picaro.

Haru literally wears a fedora and says "Milady".
