There's probably a lineup of people willing to do his job. And they'd do it twice as well, for less pay, and not be complete asshats in the online space while representing the company. He knows what he was doing. He was trying to undermine musk, for clicks and likes and retweets.

What gets me about the people defending Musk is that they say "Oh the employee was unprofessional!"

Then why was Musk spouting wrong shit to begin with? Sounds a lot like he's not communicating with his people before spouting bullshit. Also, if we assume this guy logically doesn't want to be an unprofessional douchebag in public (he worked 6 years without incident I assume) then there was probably a very good reason why he broke down and corrected his boss publicly: because Elon doesn't fucking listen even when he does talk to people, if he's even doing it at all.

Not really. He pointed out to his boss who was publicly complaining on twitter about how the app was running on android and pointed out how his claims about the issue was not correct. Elon then asked for solutions to the problem and he gave them only to be fired publicly.

This is not going to blacklist from the industry, because no other tech business has their boss complain about internal issues on a public forum.

Anyone in the tech industry who would blacklist the engineer over this would also think Elon Musk would be doing a good job.

As Twitter's performance drops I'm absolutely sure anyone that is axed from Twitter for telling the truth, public or private, is going to be validated.

I think I see where people are coming from with the whole "THIS WAS UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!1" bullshit, but let's face it, it's also unprofessional to slander the hard work of the people that make your product. And I'm absolutely confident this isn't the first or will it be the last incident where Musk will not listen or understand what the fuck anyone is talking about until it smacks him in the face like a donkey punch on cam.

No one is getting blacklisted because Elon can't fucking manage his troops. It's Elon who wouldn't get a fucking job if he didn't skip 2/3 of the ladder, if this is what he has to show for his professionalism.

I'd like to think most bosses, especially in the tech field wouldn't mind being talked to by their employees like Elon was his. Be it public or behind closed doors but I doubt it.

It may work out for them under these circumstances though, but let's not pretend this doesn't screw over peoples careers regularly.

Not really. That's an action that purposefully disrupts a flight and delays customers. Nobody is inconvenienced by his tweet. People are inconvenienced by Musk's half-baked ideas.

There's no real equivalent to this because it's not really a thing for CEO's to bag out their products and employees on social media.

If someone is really good at their job and they have pride in their work, they have both a right and a responsibility to point that out. Elon attacked his work, and he stood up for it.
