Because the Pokmon games haven't grown as much as I would like them to. I eventually caved and bought Pokmon Sword earlier this year, just to see it for myself. Now I have no desire to buy Scarlet/Violet.

I will be. Skipped SwSh, but Ive been more in the mood to play. Finished Arceus recently.

I'm buying Violet. Played an early copy and absolutely loved it. There were so many improvements implemented. Feels way different that Sword & Shield which I thought was kinda meh. Sw&Sh just felt like the same old. This feels refreshing.

I have Violet pre-ordered and will be picking up the day it releases.

I probably didn't need to pre-order it, but this way I also get a lanyard.

I haven't bought any Pokemon games yet, and haven't felt compelled to change that pattern.

Because I have only ever played Red, Yellow, Gold and Lets ago Pikachu. Im not a big fan after the first gen.

Because S/M killed the series for me. You can't walk five steps in that game without a stalker dragging you into a unnecessarily long and pointless conversation. It was bad enough in X/Y, but the stalkers went away after the first few towns. I've heard S/S are even worse were your stalker shows up at the entrance of every town to tell you where everything worth seeing is.

It's pokemon. There's never really been anything "new" to the games other than increasingly intrusive story.

Its just a cash crop at this point. Theres so much they could do with the following they have but they always low ball and skimp on how great full 3D games could be. The battle animations arent great, the world isnt nesscarily really beautiful or graphically impressive. It would be forgiven if they bothered to have all the Pokemon but they cant do that either. They literally half-ass everything because they know people will buy their game regardless.

That said...I am excitedly looking forward to it, simply due to the new mons, abilities, and moves being brought to competitive for showdown.

I grew out of them several generations ago. I follow a bit of what goes on here n there, but I think Smash Bros is the only pokemon related game that interests me.

Until they make Poket or Monster: Beach Volleyball, anyway.

I just realised Ive bought most Pokmon games and not actually beaten a Pokmon game since yellow lol.

I don't own a system that'll play them.

No Blastoise, no Blaziken, no suicune, no flygon, no interest

I almost never buy games near release, and the last Pokemon game I bought was Diamond.

Maybe eventually. But they really need to fix the damn performance before I even thinking about buying it. It is so bad.
