First season was great.
Second was difficult to grasp.
Third season was monumental.
Fourth season is canceled.

The cost of filming was understandably enormous but the concept of the show is so unique and worth it. Too bad it never gathered the viewership it deserved.

Oh damn its cancelled? They couldnt have just let them have one more final season to close things out? Im guessing tons of stuff was left unfinished

that sucks, season 1 was one of the best seasons of tv Id ever seen, but I was waiting till the series finished before continuing. I might not even watch it now

i hope this doesnt mean more cuts are to come to other showsI was hoping The Nevers would get some type of love, but it I doubt part 2 of its first season will ever get released

They definitely could have utilized another season (which would have been the fifth; the fourth season wasnt canceled as it recently finished and is the strongest since the first season, so not sure why OP says the fourth season got canceled) to truly close out the series, but I think the fourth still ends on a fine enough note with no major dangling plot threads that make it feel incomplete. I think the fourth sets up for a hypothetical interesting fifth season, but since the fourth is now the conclusion we get, its a fine enough conclusion albeit pretty open-ended. Id still say its worth watching. A lot of people seem to complain about season 2 and to an extent season 3, but almost all the complaints Ive seen are vastly overblown.

I tried season 1. I found it so lackluster as a TV show, I dropped it.

No interesting characters, meandering plot. Just a bunch of problems, honestly. I really wanted to like the show, it's an interesting concept, to be sure.

I rarely call tv shows or movies pretentious. But I think it fits Westworld.

Give me Battlestar Galactica any day.
