maybe as a costume for Snake, or even to replace the current look as his main look? I feel the original MG games are totally unrepresented in Smash? And this was almost an Oh yeah I forgot all about that! moment for me when I remember that the original MG games were part of Nintendo lore before Kojima and Konami went with the PS1 for MGS and the old games were basically forgotten by the new generation who embraced MGS, for a long time.
