I know lots of people enjoy it and thats fine. Good for them. But I just hate the way that people think that everybody enjoys it and that when I claim that I dont, its usually met with scepticism even though Ive met a number of people who feel the same way.

I can understand where youre coming from, being forced to do something isnt gonna make it very fun

im like legit struggling to think of circumstances in life that would lead to open hostility at a strangers nonspecific suggestion to dance

There was no prom at my school.

The reason is a lifetime of people telling you that youll enjoy it even though you know you dont. Or not believing you about your own feelings on the matter. Or expecting you to do it even though it makes you deeply uncomfortable. Over time it gets really annoying.

Schools expect you to dance. People expect you to want to dance going out drinking. People expect you to dance at your own wedding.

Theres a lot of times that it becomes an issue.

Dancing has literally been around since our first ancestors lol. Who cares if you look stupid as fuck. It's a great way to express yourself and get the juices GOING
