I've been posting this a bunch the last few days:

If I were a betting man I think the most likely scenario is the GOP taking the House and Dems holding the Senate.

However, this election cycle in particular has been absolutely bizarre as far as polling goes. Some polls predicting everything from a GOP wave to Dems matching or exceeding their 2020 performance.

There's been signs of massive Dem turnout and engagement over the early voting period, and the results in special elections held since Dobbs point to a trend of overperformance. However it's still a midterm environment with a relatively unpopular president.

So I honestly have no idea. I think my prediction above is the safe bet, but I would not be shocked at all if there were some big surprises tonight, but who knows.

I'll not be watching, in any case. Nor will I be online. I've learned my lessons from 2016, 2018, and 2020 lol

The Dems had control of both branches for two years, did they actually do anything with the power?

They tried, but kept getting blocked by either Manchin/Sinema, or the Filibuster.

Just imagine how embolden would be like MTG get if they win the house. Shed be trying to impeach Biden EVERYDAY.

Does anyone but the rich benefit if they take both? Also anyone not a rich business man is going to get hurt by it.

They'll probably win, to the detriment of the US, and maybe even the world (on issues like climate change and propping up foreign dictatorships (e.g. Putin)). The Dems had control of both branches for two years, did they actually do anything with the power?

Nothing will change in the US until you actually have a viable center-left party. It's always either status-quo or actively make things worse.

• Large infrastructure bills,
• largest climate plan,
• increased IRS funding so that they can actually go after the rich for tax evasion,
• partial to full cancelation of student loans for millions of people. Assuming republicans don't block it in court.
• full cancelation of student loans for those who went to predatory for profit colleges,
• improvements in Obamacare.

They kinda did, considering it was a 50/50 Senate. If anything, Democrats over promised what was feasible during the 2020 elections.

But they have so far accomplished
* Large infrastructure bills,

* improvements in Obamacare.

People seem to ignore that Republicans blocked the shit out of everything and whined about problems and provided NO solutions and still provide no solutions.
