I'm not sure if I like Victor.

He tries to peace out and run away without explanation. He knows Emily has had her heart broken once already and he's also running away without saying goodbye to his dog.

Whenever my dog appears in a dream, I stop to hug her or scratch her head. I couldn't imagine meeting her in an afterlife situation and just being gone when she turned around. All Victor had to do was explain things to Emily. It should have been pretty obvious by that point that she didn't have plans to eat him or whatever it is that a zombie's supposed to do to the living.

Also, Christopher Lee and Michael Gough in the same movie? It's a Horror of Dracula reunion half a century later.
