Been going on a nostalgia trip with old edu-tainment games the last few days.

The 4th grade game set in Egypt is one of the earliest PC games I ever played. I sucked ass at it because I was a second grader trying to solve 4th grade problems.

Used to piss my Mom off by trying to talk like the Owen character and repeating his catch phrases over and over. It's a wonder I wasn't put up for adoption.

He talked like a stereotypical California surfer dude, so catchphrase was probably the wrong word, but imitating how he talked was 7 year old me's favorite hobby.

Anyway 4th grade adventures was my childhood. I literally remember it level by level, almost scene by scene. Is it the most popular one? I dont think I played the others

I was in 3rd grade so I fared a teensy bit better although we hadn't covered fractions so I didn't know how to cut the fabric. But I would just guess and started noticing a pattern with half, quarter, and even 8ths, but had trouble when the fraction was five sixths or something like that.

It's one of the two most popular along with 3rd grade. TLC only went from 3-6 and then switched to doing the games by ages. Guess they figured tweeners would have lost interest.

I sucked at all the math questions, and probably still would tbqh. Was better at the word based ones.

Oh and the geography questions. Those were always fun. I think these games taught me how to read a map.

Holy crap you sent me on a nostalgia trip, I have a memory of playing cluefinders 6th grade adventures! It was one with plant people, pretty terrifying in a poison ivy/invasion of the body snatchers sort of way.

I didnt even beat that one, that one straight up confused me after a certain point. I wonder if I could beat it now if I go back...

Any other edutainment games you remember?

Oh yeah and Jumpstart 1st grade. I remember putting wrong shit into the oven on purpose so I could create glob monsters, and that crazy ass cafeteria minigame.

I have a feeling I didn't play that one. I recall playing many of the Jumpstart games and a Magic School Bus game as well.
