Despite spending hundreds of hours in that game, there are 2 sidequests I actually never did, even though I got finished all 120 shrines.

And on that note, I actually was missing 2 shrine quests out of the total 42 shrine quests wtf. Apparently you can both find and beat a shrine without ever having triggered the actual shrine quest message. If you do that after beating the shrine it pops up and then the completion message immediately pops up

Things like that don't bother me in games like Breath of the Wild. There's so much to explore and do. As long as I get a lot out of it I'm happy with out completing 100%. I still take my time to do as much as possible.

Agreed, I don't bother going for 100% either in games. Would attempt it in my teens when I literally had only one game to play but now with a backlog I just beat the story and then if I'm still interested to do some side stuff here and there.

There have been exceptions where I enjoyed a game so much I actually did do everything or near everything like Okami. Also I always complete Jimmy's Journal in KH 2 for that secret ending.

What 2 side quests?!

Most of the sidequests were underwhelming.

It was kind of tedious trying to figure out which sidequest I missed, had to print out the list of all 90 sidequests and compare them to the list I have in my game. Same with the shrine quests. There's gotta be a better way to check.

Turns out I missed a quest called the hero's cache... and secret of death mountain. That one makes sense, the goron mountain was the last divine beast and area I tackled and I spent as little time as possible there, I just didn't like the area at all. The whole needing to be fireproof, trying to avoid lava, it was just tedious to navigate. I can't even use the dlc motor cycle, I paid actual money for this and they won't let me use it on the mountain.

So that one is understandable how I could have missed it, there's probably some secrets in the goron area I don't know about or remember.

Bought this when it first came out on wii u and only made it shortly after the part where you end up flying down some cliff on a deku leaf

Have yet to return to it, but i kinda want to cop the switch port

It's funny how over 2 years later and I just now found out that I missed quests don't know why I didn't do them the first time.

I think I was upset that the EX sidequest trial of the sword forces you to go back to the beginning with no items, gear or anything and I wasn't having any of that. I didn't spend hundreds of hours collecting all these items to not even be able to use them when I actually need to for a quest.

you can cook a dragon horn with attack up or defense up and use it right before tackling it and itll last through pretty much the whole thing

Scratch that, I actually did do secret of death mountain. Or at least, I would have, I found the drill shaft on the mountain just by basic exploring, but had a full inventory so I never got it and just left it there. All I had to do was take it and bring it to the goron kid in the hot springs. I knew it was weird how I could have missed a quest.

Anyway I did it, I've finally gotten all the quests I missed, I now have the full 89/90 quests completed.

BOTW was so close to being perfect.

Thanks I forgot about that. Is 30 minutes the max that the dragon horns give?

The only sidequest i never did was the xenoblade chronicles 2 one because fuck that stupid af armor.

You don't actually have to wear it... you can throw it so far into your inventory and never look at it.

I'm annoyed that I'll miss out on nifty costumes because I didn't buy a bunch of toy figurines
