This truck driver walks in and the first thing I notice is that he has small strips of shiny reflective tape all over his clothes. Seems odd, but whatever.

He asks me how I'm doing. I say fine and ask how he is.

Bad. He's doing real bad. There's only ten days of diesel left in the entire world. Before I can tell him that I don't think that's correct, he explains to me that Biden has been dumping all of the diesel into the oceans.

I ask him why. Why would Biden do such a thing.

He tells me that it's for a few reasons, but the prime objective is to put an end to truck driving. Biden wants to end truck driving forever because it will destroy the American economy and we will have to rely on communist China. Not only that, but truck driving is a masculine job. By ending truck driving, Biden can force the LGBT agenda on the country and the world.

I told him that it's pretty crazy that I had never heard any of this before. Of course he tells me that it's kept secret by the liberal media. I told him he should let me record a video of him explaining all it, but he said that the deep state would have him and his family killed in a staged accident.

That's when he points out all of the reflective tape. The deep state has people like him on 24 hour surveillance via every camera in the world. That tape, however, confuses the cameras, so they can't track him.

By now my brain has been completely melted and I'm speechless. I tell him that all seems pretty unlikely, but anyway, I really must get back to work.

He goes to his truck for about five minutes, comes back in and reaches inside his coat. For a second I ponder the possibility that this dude is going to murder me. Instead, he hands me this :

He told me that it's not the good kind, but it will work well enough. He said it's time to wake up and to keep my family safe.

6:30 a.m. is far too early to deal with this shit.

Now, I have to wonder, was he that crazy before becoming a trucker and spending weeks at a time on the road, or was it the long hours, solitude, and terrible radio that did it to him?

I've dealt with a lot of truck drivers over the last 15 years. I've encountered some strange folk, but most of them seem like pretty normal people, aside from that most of them are republican.

There was one dude that was pretty insistent that I should memorize Janet Jackson's entire discography and all of the songs in order, and another guy that always wanted me to come outside and look at the moon with him.

As someone who works in the supply chain industry, I have no idea where this "running out of diesel fuel" comes from. I have to regulate and check in aircraft and on the other side there's 40-120 trucks that come in daily. You think these trucks have essensial goods but nope, it's filled with garbage like golf clubs and plastic fake deers.
If diesel fuel was "running out" our management would be freaking out. Well, they are but because they have a shortage of drivers, not driving fuel.

I'm in Ontario working near a big city here in Canada and I encountered one of these sort of guys in my job as a health inspector a few days ago. When I arrived at the restaurant, right away he was a bit defensive and asked where my authority comes from. And he would pepper me with questions about COVID and anti-government stuff lol. It went well enough. I just tried to nod along and get on with it. Just be nice and answer as honestly as you can.
