No, fortunately I'm in good financial shape.

Money was a huge strain at the start of my marriage, though

That and the fact that my girlfriend's body is a trash fire.

A sexy trash fire, but God there's quite a lot she can't do safely, and some things she can't do at all. Heal her before giving me money.

Yup. I currently make around $30k year working from home. It's barely enough to pay the bills with the occasional nice thing. I have zero hope of getting a better job because I don't have a car and I don't make enough money to pay for one

And no, no amount of "budgeting" will get me out of this situation. My "occasional nice thing" is that I can afford a new game every few months. I don't get fast food delivery, I don't get Starbucks, I don't smoke, I don't drink, and my only real vice is my FFXIV sub (yeah, that $12.99/month is really breaking the bank) which I play on my ancient PS4.

If I cut out every single "nice" thing, started eating nothing but lentils and beans, and really, really stuck to it, I could maybe save up $2,000 after a year. 2k doesn't get you shit in today's car market. People are selling rusty, beat-up pieces of garbage that are old enough to vote for $5k.
