It's insurance picking time again. In brief, I'm trying to decide between a plan that costs more and has a higher out of pocket but cushions me from the immediate impact of prescription costs and an HSA plan with a far lower out of pocket but no cushion for the immediate impact of prescriptions. One of my prescriptions is still brand name only, so that would be devastating. I'd like to go with the HSA, so I'd like to know whether any of you have had success with any programs that lower the price. I make ok money, but I won't have enough set aside in an HSA to cover my medication. It wouldn't kill me to go with the traditional PPO, but it would cost a fair bit more overall to go that route.
