I've always had playstation consoles and anytime my family got an Xbox my older brother just immediately took it over and beat me if I so much as touched it, so I never got to try fable.

Is it worth trying the old game now on my gaming laptop, or should I just wait for the new one that was announced?

Yeah, they are fairly unique but flawed. Each game separates itself well enough from each other that they all have some fun moments. I think it's an RPG worth trying, but if you go for just one, play Fable 2.

It's a fun game. Sucks with the versions that had added content they changed Jack's VA. He had a unique villain voice and they made him more typical. Shame but still good game.

2 was the most forgettable to me.

I liked 3 a lot despite people's complaints. But 1 is definitely good

1 is the only one worth playing. 2 and 3 just feel like weaker versions of better games, but the limitations 1 was working with give it a unique take.

Play either The Lost Chapters or the 360-era remaster. The vanilla game is lacking a few hours worth of content that wraps up the story.

I didn't like Fable 1 at all.

Fable 2 is a good game. I have played it many times.

But my favourite is Fable 3. I just liked everything about it.

1 is great but dated. 2 is still pretty good but feels more in keeping with modern games. I wouldnt bother with 3 unless you really like the first two.

2 is great. I wish more games had an economy like Fable where you could buy houses and rent them for dirt cheap to poor people.
