It would make sense if they were saving it for some dramatic moment which is what I thought they'd do in the ending where he sacrifices himself. Didn't happen. Then I figured, hey, they'll have to show it in the third person mode they added. Nope, they do their absolute best to make sure the camera stays off his face. Then the DLC ends with Rose and Ethan meeting - Rose literally calls it face to face - and they still do the same blocking you'd see in a sitcom with a ghost character. I guess they moreso wanted Ethan to be a self-insert since his only character traits are "protective father who's out of his element." It has a House Beneviento section of its very own which is reportedly not very fun to NG+ in the main game. And unlike the main game, the gimmick this time around was starting to wear a bit thin for me by the end of it. The Rose DLC was really good with what they did with the level design and horror elements.
